The projects eGovMon and the Resource Network for Universal IKT are holding a seminar about the challenges relating to the measurement of Universal Design of the Web and the presentation of measureable results. The seminar is organized in connection with two other events, and therefore provides the opportunity for those who wish to attend all three events:

  • Thursday December 3rd: DIFI's presentation of the results of the national monitoring of quality on the Web
  • Wednesday December 2nd: How to achieve quality on your Web site with Difi and the Data Association

The project eGovMon and the Resource Network for Universal ICT are behind the seminar on 4th December. The eGovMon project develops methods and software to evaluate the quality of Web services. The Resource Network for Universal ICT consists of a number of communities and individuals who work with technology and Universal design, and who are working to focus attention on the challenges and opportunities in this field. There are a limited number of places at the seminar, and places will be allotted on a "first come, first served" basis.

The following main topics will be discussed at the seminar:

  • Opportunities and challenges for measuring Universal design of the Web
  • A holistic approach to what it means to make Web pages Universally designed
  • A comparison of results from and eGovMon
  • Presentation of the first preliminary measurements of transparency
  • An improved understanding of how the measurements can be used for targeted improvements of sites for citizens and administration.
